Finding vegan shoes

Finding good quality vegan shoes is not always easy. We therefore set out to visit the shop Il Gatto con gli Stivali (literally "Puss in boots") in Rome to try out a few different brands.

These are not your average fake leather shoes but are made with comfort and quality in mind. They are made out of high quality, breathable materials. Having tried out several pairs while walking the streets of Rome we can confirm that this is really the case.

The shoes we tried out are mainly manufactured by four different companies, di Romeo in Italy, Vegetarian Shoes in the UK, Novacas in the US and finally Cri de Coeur. We also tried ordering a few shoes directly from di Romeo and this worked out great.

di Romeo is an Italian brand which is also available online

More vegan shoes

To sum up, most of the shoes that we tried were very comfortable and so far seem to be of high quality. If you look around, especially in bigger cities it's relatively easy to find shops selling vegan shoes and if you happen to live very far from one, many of the brands have online shops shipping worldwide.
